[comp.sys.apple2] Apple II Modem Probs

Mark_Richter@TRANSARC.COM (08/09/90)

I'm using the following:

  - Apple Access II 1.3.1
  - Apple Super-Serial Card
  - Cardinal 2400 baud modem

Got everything hooked up, but it appears
that nothing ever gets out to the modem.
In terminal mode from Access II I can't
talk to the modem. +++ won't even get
it's attention. Auto-dial just appears to
spew the macro I'm sending into the bit
bucket. The Cardinal is Hayes compatible.

Do I need a null-modem cable with the
super serial card? Can anyone offer
some more trouble-shooting tactics that
I could try to get this problem isolated?

Many thanks.
