[comp.sys.apple2] SCSI Hacker

TMPLee@DOCKMASTER.NCSC.MIL (08/10/90)

Could someone please tell me exactly where to find SCSI Hacker and
DiskTimer on one of the FTP archive sites? I've done a little browsing
on a couple of them and can't seem to find anything thta is clearly one
or the other. (I was surprised -- no, not really -- to find that the
SCSI utilities that come with the new Apple DMA card don't allow you to
specify the interleave and for some reason the version of the "advanced
disk utilities" I have doesn't work under 5.0.2 and the new card.)

thanks

After browsing through many archives I finally did find a working copy
of SCSI Hacker. (I had to search several thousand messages back in the
info-apple forum to recall how to use the Brown Listserv.)

Anyway, it doesn't work either. It gives me "SMP/ProDos error 21".

Any suggestions anyone? (Ray Rankings said I should fork out $30 for
the Chinook utilities.)

Is there ANY SCSI utility that will work with the Apple HS DMA SCSI card
and a CMS60Meg drive that allows you to set the interleave?

The programs disk timer and scsi hacker are no longer shareware so i don't
think you'd be able to find them...they've gone commercial and are selling for
around $30 (?)

Do you or anyone know if these have been upgraded at all or the same
versions that were floating around. I know the last PUBLIC version of
disk timer (V2.0?) used to bomb on systems with only 1.25meg of memory.
