It does have a better bye program (in fact, it is very similar to Bird's Better Bye), but there was no mention of incompatibilities with System 5.0.2. Mark Munz

There's no mention because it's really not a problem...just don't try to replace P8 on the System disk with 1.9. It wouldn't help much anyway, because under GS/OS you never see the ProDOS 8 Quit code (it just quits back to the GS/OS app you came from). -- David A.
