Hi there! I was wondering. If any of you are downloading new items from the various info services, are you considering making them available to comp.binaries.apple2? For instance, there was recently an updated UtilityWorks release. I TRIED to download it from AOL, got it onto my RAM disk, and then, while looking for some disk space to unshrinkit it, lost my ramdisk (I was trying to run the LodeRunner GS demo, and it messed up my machine so I had to power off to get control back). Anyways, that set me to thinking. I surely do not want to go thru downloading that again. If I would have saved it, would I have even thought that others might be interested? Would someone else, who DID save it, be interested in sharing it with us? Many authors do not have access to comp.binaries.apple2/apple2-l, so their software doesnt get distributed unless one of us distributes it. The other thing that I would find interesting would be some sort of summary of what new softwares were available on the big 3 services (CIS, Genie, AOL). -- Larry W.
