To complain that metal doesn't foam in space uniformly is like complaining that dishes don't break into perfect little squares when you drop them. Of course the first foaming experiment isn't perfect. But what if you extrude the stuff through orifices that inject bubbles powered by suitable vibrators, to make perfect lattices, etc. Along with REM, I've long felt that foam steel would be a great building material. I wonder how hard people have really tried to make it here, in fact, by using more cleverness? -------
