In-Reply-To: message from kessler@schof.colorado.edu I don't mean to sound sound the net.police but something that really is interesting to me is all of these people post forsale messages to comp.sys.apple2 and a WHILE back most of US in proline land were pretty much threatened with expulsion from net access when some of our neophyte posters started doing this. Funny, you never see anyone bitch about this lately. :) :) Todd... -- UUCP: {nosc, uunet!cacilj, sdcsvax, hplabs!hp-sdd, sun.COM, apple} /\ ...!crash!pnet01!pro-sol!pro-pac!tsouth /\ /^^\ ARPA: crash!pnet01!pro-sol!pro-pac!tsouth@nosc.MIL /^^\ Tigard INET: tsouth@pro-pac.cts.com / \ Oregon BITNET: pro-pac.UUCP!tsouth@PSUVAX1 / \ \

There are other newsgroups specifically for that purpose. Perhaps the flames have been sent privately to the offenders.

I've been reading this discussion on about how for sale items have have their own place on the net.... I would simply like to remind you that this group comp.sys.apple2 is ALOW OOps (ALSO) part of info-apple@apple.com on bitnet, and other sources in addition..so don't assume that everyone has to follow the "usenet" rules and post to some place they may not have access to. I have usenet, but hardly ever read it, becuase bitnet is so much easier to process. You can place flames in ALT.FLAMES...I don't read it! ED MOORE

It gives people like me who only get the newsgroup through the mail a chance to see some of the stuff out there and take advantage of it... I don't know where, nor do I even want to get the for sale group sent to me. My mailbox is full enough already. -- Apple II forever!
