I was out observing the evening of dec 11-12. Besides getting turned into a popsicle I noticed that the Geminids were active, with counts of about 10 per hour. This was two days before the peak which should be the morning of the 14th at 7 A.M. EST, judging from the count I saw on Sat, a peak rate of 40-50 meteors per hour is not unreasonable. So if you live in a reasonably dark sky area, getting up an hour or two before work tomorrow morning will probably give you quite an active meteor shower. Fred BTL/ABI INDY
