Just a quickie question... When FTP'ing files from another system, are thje files compressed using Bincsii & SShrinkit? I'm somewhat new to FTP'ing things, so if I ask some really stupid questions, well, I'm sorry. From what I can tell, the files are transferred as either ascii or binary, which you get from the remote system, then download to your pc and unpack... To be honest, I haven't really tried this yet, (I was reading somewhere that ftp's should be done during off-peak hours on the system you're ftp'ing to) but I was going to attempt to get a couple of files soon and want to go about it in the right way... If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open... Thanks.... /\___________________________________________________________/\ \// \\/ // Randy Vose - University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana \\ \\ cs225ck@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu or rjv21207@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu // /\___________________________________________________________/\ \/ \/ WARNING: For the protection of your equipment, lower levels are recommended for initial playback until you're sure we aren't kidding.
