I have run into what I think is either a major misunderstanding of terms on my part or a pecularity of the version of GSOS that I am running. I am using 5.0.2 which, as far as I am aware, is unmodified. I boot into the system.disk, and then eject that disk and put another disk in its place. I click on the new disk's icon once, and then do an OA-I (to get info). Of course, the system prompts me to reinsert the missing disk. I decide I want to 'cancel' - one of the options on the dialog. The box clears and then comes up again. So I insert the disk it requests, and, instead of cancelling, the Get Info continues. What does cancel mean if not cancel? P.S. The neat thing is that, if I put in the system.disk, click okay, I get another box asking for the original disk. If I click cancel there - again, no cancel - got to get that disk in. Then, if I put in the disk, I still get the Icon info box. -- Larry W.
