I was wondering if anybody has written or if anybody is writing or if anybody is planning to write a cdev that would let us gsers change the sound of the system beep to a digitized noise...I believe that there's something like that for the mac and i'd like to see it on the GS Anyhow, if the answer to all of the above is no, just write one anyways, it'll be cool ________________________ __________________________ | ProLine: jwana@pro-harvest | | Internet: jwana@pro-harvest.cts.com | | UUCP: crash!pro-harvest!jwana | | ARPA: crash!pro-harvest!jwana@nosc.mil | |_______________ BITNET: jwana%pro-harvest.cts.com@nosc.mil _________________|

Guy T Rice wrote an INIT called sysbeep that does it, however when I installed background sound sysbeep turned itself off -- for system integrity reasons. I'll look into writing such a program that has no restrictions, but don't hold your breath, as all I have at this point is ORCA/C, and a 1.1 beta at that... Todd Whitesel toddpw @ tybalt.caltech.edu
