Hi there. A friend and I are in the process of writing a 6502 emulator for IBM PC based machines. We currently have a working chip emulator, and hopefully will soon have full (or close to it) Apple //e emulation. We would like some information about Disk II drives. Does anyone how they work at a REALLY low level (ie. how the controller works)? Information on reading, writing, formatting, head positioning (if possible) etc, etc. would be nice. Hopefully, we will be able to increase this with some machine dependent optimization (eg. ROM routines, graphics etc.) instead of just straight chip emulation..... thanks for your help.....
