I'm thinking of getting a RAMFast SCSI card pretty soon, but I've heard that the older GSRAM cards aren't totally DMA compatible. How can I tell if I have one of the older GSRAMs? I bought it around late '88 (I think). Also, will Adv. Disk Utils on the System.Tools disk partition a drive hooked up to a RAMFast? Or do I have to use another prog? Thanks... This rom disk contains the program to format and partition the hard drives. -- ____ Y_,_|[]| Eric Mulholland {|_|_|__| ericm@sage.cc.purdue.edu //oo--OO ...!pur-ee!sage.cc!ericm

An interleave of 0 tells the hard drive to pick its favorite (default) to use. Oh, and if I'm not mistaken, this is only when you connect scsi drives to the card, I believe the sasi drives are always formated at 4:1. With the RamFast and a scsi drive, the docs say that unless you have a messed up drive, you want to format it at 1:1. -- ____ Y_,_|[]| Eric Mulholland {|_|_|__| ericm@sage.cc.purdue.edu //oo--OO ...!pur-ee!sage.cc!ericm
