We have recently purchased an Apple ImageWriter LQ and a Macintosh SE. Early
on, we discovered what we think is a bug in the system (or somewhere!)
After installing the ImageWriter LQ driver (2.0) in the system, we noticed
that the system would occasionally 'forget' that the printer was connected to
the Mac. We've had to go back to the Chooser DA and then tell the Mac that we
want this printer to use in printing reports.
This usually happens after turning off the ImageWriter LQ to change paper,
install a new ribbon, etc. I don't know if this is an inherent problem on the
LQ or the Mac SE, but this much I do know: The problem persists on a Mac Plus
that we have available.
The System is 6.0.4 and we would really appreciate a looking into of this
problem. If anyone out there in net-land could help me solve this problem,
I'd be forever grateful. (It's my Dad's MacSE and my Mac Plus that are
affected...)
