Hear hear. I used to be with Apple and was one of the few remaining
champions of the Apple II family in my area. I used to amaze people
in my own office with things that the Apple IIgs could fo that they
didn't even know about! But even I got tired of the anti-Apple
bashing message. It's one thing to criticize policy; it's another to
beat a dead horse 25 feet into the ground, and then dance on its
grave. I don't even read most messages that start with "Bitching at
Apple" or "Apple Computer Gripe" or something like that. Its not
worth it. I thought that even though John Sculley's message in
Incider didn't say much new, I thought that the gesture was
interesting enough THAT HE WOULD DO IT AT ALL! He didn't have to!
But he thought that an open letter in Incider would at least provide
some gesture to the Apple II community that Apple Corporate had not
fogotten them. If Apple wanted to axe the II, the most simple thing
to do is to end all development in the Apple II group and either let
go or reassign people to other tasks, and it hasn't happened! When
it does, you can flame till your faces turn blue. Until then, let's
try to think of constructive things to say here.

We don't here from Murphy Sewall anymore around here either. I gotta
wonder why...
