[comp.sys.apple2] UniDisk 3.5" and TrackStar Emulation Board: compatible?

jstern@orion.oac.uci.edu (Jeff Stern) (10/12/90)

I know the TrackStar will use a 5.25" UniDisk. What are the chances it
will take a 3.5" UniDisk?

With real Apple //'s, for instance, does a 3.5" UniDisk fit into a
5.25" UniDisk port? Thanks

I doubt it. The UniDisk (not UniDisk 3.5) controller is little more than an
old Disk II controller with a different connector. (Same for the DuoDisk
controller, BTW.) Try plugging your UniDisk 3.5 into a Disk II controller
and tell me how far you get. :-)
