[comp.sys.apple2] SoundSmith question

RAFAEL@osu-20.ircc.ohio-state.edu (Rafael Yu) (10/10/90)

I just got SoundSmith through America Online and it is a great program.
However, I'm having a little problem. Every time I play a music and use the
graphic play (or what ever, I'm refering to the option of having a sor of
graphic displayiny the several tracks while the music is on) my mouse hang up
the only thing I can use at this time are some apple commands wich are limited
to Apple-P, Q, and something else. Could someone tell me why the mouse hangs
up? Is this a bug in the program or what? Also I believe the version on
soundSmith is the latest V1.04 or something like that.

                               Rafael......!!!

Sorry, but I make a mistake in to original post. The version I have is
v0.94 which is the latest. Also, many people didn't understand what I meant
by "the mouse hang up". What I meant is that once I select the graphic music
play, the mouse can be use in the like box that appear in the graphic. But,
once I get out of the graphic display, the mouse doesn't work. At this point
not even if I go back to the graphic play, the mouse won't work. So, all I
can use at this point are open-apple-Q, P, and another key that I don't
remember.

Well, in addition to the above I have some other questions:

     1) Have anyone use the HP printer drivers from Vitesse? I thing the
package is called Harmony or something like that. I wonder if anyone have any
comment on this. If the drives actually work, how well do they perform? Which
HP printers are supported? Which HP printer is best recomended to use with a
GS?

      2) Today, I went to a local computer store and they had a new GS game
called SPACE ACE. I try to played but I didn't know how. The graphic seems
OK as well as the sound. I'm planing to buy it but would like to know more
about this game. The store don't have any return policies so I don't want to
get stock with a worthless game. Have anyone hear of this game? Is it any
good?

Soundsmith current version is 0.95 not 0.94. I have Soundsmith 0.95 and the
graphic music thingie works fine for me. Now I just have to figure out how to
write my own music on the darn thing.

Nope, the LATEST version of Sound Smith is upto 0.95. Yes, 0.9_5_ as of about
a week ago.

No matter which version of SoundSmith I use, when I hit ESC to end the
graphic player sequence, my mouse freezes. I can hit open-apple-q to
quit, or open files, or what ever, but I can't seem to get the mouse
to move.

Anybody know what I could do? I'm using v. .95.

I've only seen this happen on ROM 3 machines.

Don't know how to fix it, unfortunately.
