[comp.sys.apple2] GScii - NDA that decodes binscii files

dat33228@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu (Derek A. Taubert) (10/16/90)

How would you GS users like an NDA version of Binscii that can decode
multiple files WHILE you are in GSHK looking through the ones that have
finished decoding? Well, such a beast exists. I wrote it last week, and
I'm not sure if I want to release it or keep it for my own personal uses.

Mail, please, I love getting mail...

I just downloaded this beast from plains.nodak.edu, and haven't been
able to get it working yet. I have a few Inits/DA's that it might
conflict with, but haven't had time to play with it much yet.
Everything works fine until you try to select a file to decode;
then it just crashes into the monitor.

Does the author (Derek) have any comments about this?

I would be interested in trying out you NDA. The user interface for
BinSCII leaves a lot to be desired but it is available and it does
work.

A related question:

Is there a CDA version of BinSCII out there perchance? Most of the stuff
I do is in ProDOS 8, and a CDA version would help me out (plus free up
some space in /RAM5). If not, is anyone working on one?

Boy, some people like to see others beg. How low on the backside do I have to
kiss to get it? :)

Yeah, I'm having the same problems...

Any clues on what's the problem?
