[comp.sys.apple2] Apple/Mac/Stuff

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents worth on a couple things: First, the
Applied Engineering PC-Transporter. If you have any use for IBM software
(that will run on an XT), but a PC-Transporter. I've have mine for a
year or so now and have had no real problems. It's great! (Thought I'd
mention this since there was a PC-Transporter thread a while back.)

Second, about the new Mac/IIe hybrid. I don't know about you all, but I've
never seen a video game I liked on a Mac. I just imagine all the Macoids
who will now be playing Serpentine, Miner 2049er, and Rescue Raiders in
their spare time (Gee, the ability to use a real joystick, what a novel
concept! When will Macoids learn that mouses sculley [oops, I mean "suck"]
for games?). And real applications? Every damn IIe program will load faster
than its Mac equivalent (even if it may not have all the features). Using
Appleworks 3.0 on a Mac is going to seem like a dream come true to a lot of
people who were forced away from the True Path and have since been wondering
in the Valley of the Shadow. We can welcome them back into the fold with
open arms.

Third, I hope they come out with that Duet card soon. I'm aching to be able
to say that I have an Apple II (a GS), a REAL computer, that also runs both
Mac and MS-DOS programs. What a head-rush, eh?
