I already have all of the products that I need and/or want. I expect to get a
12MHz Zip when available.
I will likely get a stereo card, but I'd rather make my own.
Wouldn't mind a Quickdraw LaserWriter, but they aren't compatible. GCC maybe?
But GCC feels that the II should be killed and killed quickly.

I would buy an 8MHz ROM04, but I'll have to settle for an accelerator. I would
buy an 8-bit 640x480 colour card, but no one's made any.

I will continue to buy quality software that is released for the GS (I've
stopped buying 8-bit software, unless it is superior to GS offerings as
Proterm is).

The point is I will not be getting a Mac. I don't know what you feel a low
price is, but the LC Mac is a $2000 computer selling for $4500 in Canada. The
si is close to $7000 to get a decent system. The Mac gives me nothing that I
do not already have. Why should I convert?

This is not directed at you, or anyone else on the net, but at Apple
Marketing. Why should I ditch my GS and go to Mac? Sure someday the system
will break and be unfixable, but if you think it will be replaced by a Mac you
are mistaken.

Can someone enlighten me as to why it is not feasible to increase the speed of
the stock GS? Can the Cray not handle the design parameters? Is the system
just so advanced that humans can no longer comprehend its complexities?

Why?
