Please note that when I said that I didn't care if Apple dropped the II line (especially whether it came out with new models), I did not mean that I was against their continuing or the nobel efforts of other companies to make a GS clone. In fact, if a clone did come out and it was fully compatible, I'd probably buy one just to get rid off my awkwardly shaped IIe shell (in which the soul of my GS is contained -- it's stylish, but takes up too mych desk space). But I've seen too many Apple upgrades that are really a case of "By a whole new machine." Gone are the days when the Lisa became the Mac XL, the IIe became enhanced and then GS-ified, and so forth. I'd much rather have boards which effectively upgrade my computer than face having to buy a whole new system (like a ROM 03 or vapor ROM 04 machine). If we are going to pressure Apple for something, I think it should be new GS system software and more hardware add-ons for all computer types. Bill Gulstad
