You can probably build one of your own for close to nothing. In the Maple Orchard, Volum 9 No. 5 (Oct/Nov.1989) there are instructions to build your own, for under $30, and it offers a few things Apple's doesn't. You may be able to get a reprint of the article "BUILD YOUR OWN MIDI ADAPTER FOR THE IIGS AND MACINTOSH" by quoting the volume and number, and writing to LOGIC (Canada's oldest and largest Apple computer users' group) P.O. Box 696, Station "B" Willowdale, Ontario, CANADA M2K 2P9 The Maple Orchard is LOGIC's bimonthly newsletter/magazine. Hope this helps.
