This is really unknown@ucscb.ucsc.edu, and I'm using a class account.. (Since the computer my regular account is on crashed a few hours ago) Well, I just called up a BBS in Silicon Valley, and in the transfer section, they have ULTIMA VI GS! So obviously, someone has written it! It is 4 800K disks.. Which could mean two things.. It was written badly and took up lots of space, or it is simply a very very complex game... I think the latter is probably the case.. Isn't the IBM version a few disks?? Yes, it is obviously a pirated copy.. But as people may know, I support it as a TESTING OUT concept.. But obviously I'm not going to spend $20 to download it over the phone! If something's good, buy it. If it's not, don't. I sure hope it turns out to be good... Hopefully it won't be anywhere near as awful as Windwalker GS. [Can you say S-L-O-W and ugly?] Just the fact that it exists brings back part of my 'faith' in Origin.. It seems they are at least trying to make GS stuff.. with Windwalker .. and I think they brought out something else for the GS in the past year or so.. Yes, that probably sounds contradictory since I said how bad WindWalker was... But at least they're trying... Now if this turns out to be good and we eventually get the PROMISED Ultima V GS, it'll be great! replies to unknown@ucscb.ucsc.edu

Unknown, tsk tsk. Frequenting pirate boards.. I thought you were smarter :) Why is it then, that I have not heard of this at all yet? Not anywhere. Not a word. It's probably an immature joke by some prankster who went crazy with a sector editor. Hopefully not.. /* Marek Pawlowski, marekp@{generic|pnet91|contact|bkj386|torag|aunix}.uucp */ /* President, Intelligent Twist Software, 250 Harding Blvd, PO BOX 32017 */ /* Richmond Hill, Ontario, L4C 9M7, CANADA. */

I'm not trying to be a jerk, or keep my hopes up unnecessarily, but HOW DO YOU KNOW that it was a joke? Do you log onto the particular board I was talking about?! (which I didn't name and won't name now, but people who call Silicon Valley Apple boards would know what I'm talking about). -- /Apple II(GS) Forever! unknown@ucscb.ucsc.edu MAIL ME FOR INFO ABOUT CHEAP CDs\ \"If cartoons were meant for adults, they'd be on in prime time."-Lisa Simpson/

Would you be talking about Bombay? If so, no, I don't call there. But I do call a number of boards across the country. If it was out, I would know. Not to mention the fact that I called the software company and asked about it. Sorry, but Apple has given it's II line a kick in the pants, and Ultima VI is a lot to hope for. It it ever would be written for the II line, it would be the //e over the IIGS. But, I suppose we can still hope, eh? :) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Internet: tg.exc@pro-harvest.cts.com |ProLine: tg.exc@pro-harvest ARPA: crash!pro-harvest!tg.exc@nosc.mil |UUCP: crash!pro-harvest!tg.exc BITNET: tg.exc%pro-harvest.cts.com@nosc.mil |Knights of the Plex: Reardon "Hey Horace, there's more drek goin' on out there than you can dig even when you're hotwired.
