[comp.sys.apple2] Dungeon Master: FTL replies

mccann@plains.NoDak.edu (Lester I. McCann) (11/06/90)

As I mentioned a couple of weeks back, I sent a letter to FTL Games
(producer of Dungeon Master for the GS) asking about availability of
DM II: Chaos Strikes Back for the GS. This morning I received a
brief reply in the mail. Currently, FTL is performing in-house testing
of Chaos Strikes Back for the Amiga. I don't think FTL will get on my
case for quoting the final paragraph:

"If there is to be an Apple //GS version, late 1991 or early 1992 would
be a more realistic time frame. I wish the news could be better."

That "if" at the front says to me that they are not at all sure they'll
even try a GS version. I think it's a clear sign that they'd be willing
to try if they thought the demand was there, so create a little demand!
If you want to see Chaos Strikes Back for the GS, write FTL and tell 'em.
The address on the letter is different from the one recently posted by
myself and others. It is:

FTL Games / Software Heaven, Inc.
	6160 Lusk Blvd., Suite C206
	San Diego, CA 92121
	(619) 453-5711
	(619) 453-5716 (FAX)

My letter was signed by Silvia Esposito in Customer Support.

Thanks for sharing a bit of FTL's reply with us, Les. I am still very
much impressed with DM's game play, even after having for so long. A couple
of friends came over AGAIN last night to play, while I was out for classes. 5
hours straight last night!  This is the only game which can do this to people;
it is horribly addictive! :-) If I get a more constructive reply from FTL, I
will post it here. Hopefully that will encourage more of us on the net to
write and push for the GS version of Chaos Strikes Back.
