Look, let's not be stupid. This has been discussed before, here on this very net. Speed is irrelevant. It has been argued down to assembly code, and it has been pointed out that even at the assembly level, you can argue against the benchmarks. Why? I don't remember. I actually seem to recall that some people (possibly Todd Whitesel) had actually come up with code that ran faster on the 65816 than on the 68000.
