[comp.sys.apple2] More info about my system disk 5.0.3 problems

max@ (Max Heffler) (11/11/90)

I forgot to mention that I have my maxtor 760 drive partitioned into 20 32M
partitions, which was not a problem with System Disk 5.0.2 Disk button.

System Disk 5.0.3?

Are you saying you don't know if it crashes, or that you have tried it,
and it doesn't work? I don't think anyone else on the net has the kind of
storage you describe! The volumes are displayed in a scrolling box, so I
don't see why it couldn't display all 20 volumes. The largest volume GS/OS
supports is 4 gigabytes, which works out to 128 32-meg partitions (ha, and you
though 640 megs was big!) Out of curiosity, how much of your hard drive is
filled? And what do you put in that monster?!?!?

Yes, every time I try it it hangs with the watch, forever.

After displaying the scrolling box, the text around the top is broken up
with what was underneath before, and this is where the watch appears, forever.

Only portions of the first 4 partitions are is use. This drive was
underutilized at the office and some kind soul lent it to me for a while.

Sounds like a definite bug to me, with the text messed up like that. Sorry
but I haven't got a clue. Where's Matt D. and the rest of Apple DTS when you
need them????????????????????
