Has anyone tried the new driver with an internal buffer installed in the imagewriter II. I have an Orange Micro 256 K buffer in mine and wonder if it will still work with the new software. I'ld hate to have to loose the speed when I'm using the draft mode.

I noticed the 4.0 driver takes advantage (finally!) of the GS's own internal print buffer (provided you have it turned on in the Control Panel). I don't see why the driver wouldn't work with your buffer card. The Print Manager composes a portion of the page in memory, then dumps it all out to the printer. Whatever buffers happen to lie between the GS and the ImageWriter II will catch the data first (that's my theory, anyway...) \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ | Brian T.
