I had completed two contracts for the provincial education ministry summer before last to port C64 programs to Apple II's. The target was a 64k Apple IIe non-enhanced. If it ran on any other Apple II then fine, but it MUST run on a IIe. I completed the contracts, a database and a map training program, and asked if they would interested in GS specific versions. They replied NO since the GS runs the IIe programs anyway. Personally, I would have really liked to do the database on the GS, the windows would have blown them away. :) A brief survey of local high schools indicate that the majority of GSs have 256k or 512k total memory. Maybe 1 or 2 ROM03s with 1Meg. I think most schools would rather spend $2000 on an IBM clone than $300 on a 1Meg memory card. UUCP: bkj386!pnet91!ericmcg INET: ericmcg@pnet91.cts.com
