All this talk about Softalk made me remember that in the last issue I got,
there was a story about a guy who bought a gold dragon ring and a computer Role
Playing Ggame.
When he started playing the game, he got pulled into the computer game. He
was just starting off over the hills, etc. when the installment ended (figures
it was an installement story, doesn't it?).
Does anybody know if the story was ever finished elsewhere? Or something?
BTW, I had just re-subscribed to Softalk when it 'went away", and I tried to
get whoever bought them (A+???) to refund my money, per their offer. I sent
them copies of the cancelled check (twice!!), but they never sent me my money
back or their alternate offering of a subscription to their magazine for
whatever I had left on Softalk (about 9 or 10 months).
Needless to say, I was not a happy camper.
