[net.space] SOVIETS SCORE ANOTHER FIRST IN SPACE!

arlan (04/24/83)

Seems as if Soyuz T-8 shas scored again another first fior
the Soviets-- they have successfully compressed
six months of experimentation and mission goals into two days.
Except for a minor mishap--not being able to rendezvous with the Salyut space station,
the cosmonauts came back after only two days in orbit--six months early!
Clearly the Soviet supermen have figured out ways of compressing time!
Na z'drovye, guys!

C'mon guys. If this had been a US of A mishap, everyone would have
hailed it as a miracle of technological achievement to have recovered
successfully from a potential major disaster.
