Has anyone out there who is working in the GS desktop environment tried to port a package of pd software from the Mac known as TransSkel? TransSkel, TransEdit and TransDisplay are a set of basic routines which allow an application writer to quickly bring up a display or edit window with most of the std Human Interface Guideline features incorporated. I have the docs from a year or so ago when the author, a member o Univ of Wis (I think) Primate research Labs (Paul DuBuious I think) posted it to comp.sources.mac . He also posted something called BlobManager which assisted in managing chunks of memory of different types (display lists, etc.). The doc looks very good in both cases - perhaps someone should take an ftp peek on one of the comp.sources.mac libraries at them and see if there is any benefit to porting these std C routines to the GS. -- Larry W.
