[comp.sys.apple2] GSOS 5.0.3 and GScii incompatability?

mrapple@quack.sac.ca.us (Nick Sayer) (12/04/90)

Whenever I try to decode with GScii, I suddenly find that after
I choose the BINSCIId file, my boot volume is unmounted and
disappears! Has anyone else encountered similar shenanigans?

Now that you mention it, I was never able to get GScii to work
either. I would boot from my hard disk in slot 7 and select a file
on the hard disk to be processed, and GScii would keep polling my
3.5" disks connected to the smartport (slot 5). I figured that maybe
the author did not have drives in different slots and had never
tested such a configuration.
