I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but I would take the Duet cancellation notice with a grain of salt. Sure, Macin...uh Apple Computer Corp. certainly DOES NOT want this product to make it to the market. And the declining support of the Apple II line certainly doesn't make it worthwhile for anyone to forge ahead with a major piece of hardware for an unsupported computer. BUT I have heard that Cirtech was having MAJOR compatibility problems with Duet and the beta units were not doing well at all. It is possible that Cirtech did not want to admit that they couldn't do it and wanted to stir up a little muck in the process. No, I have no facts to base any of this upon except for one or two conversations with people not associated with Cirtech. So don't think I am exposing any great lie. I just have this feeling that Duet would have come to market even though Apple doesn't want it to. I think that it really didn't work well enough to make it a viable product. -- Joel Sumner GENIE:JOEL.SUMNER These opinions are q4kx@cornella.ccs.cornell.edu q4kx@cornella warranted for 90 days or q4kx@vax5.cit.cornell.edu q4kx@crnlvax5 60,000 miles.
