[comp.sys.apple2] Hard disk woes, part #2 -- thanks to all

Tabakal@UB.CC.UMICH.EDU (12/13/90)

Well, many people came through to help me save my hard disk.
Thanks to the following:

Grant D. -- for providing means to figure out where the
index blocks were that I had to patch together.

Michael Z. and Wayne B. for sending me the appropriate
descriptions of ProDOS headers, file layouts, etc.

I haven't patched a disk in a long time, but it's nice to know that
I can still do it when push comes to shove.

You'll all be happy to know that I just finished backing up this
partition of my hard drive with no problems. Time to work on
Partition #2. This will also be a problem since my MSDOSVOL file
has flown the coop, but I'll see if I can reconstruct it myself
first, and then call AE (and wait and wait and wait...)

I shall publish a further report if I have more questions or
have success. Thanks once again to all who helped.
