Ho Gang:
I've finally finished wading through the 300+ files that have
been posted to the comp.binaries.apple2 group in the past 6
months. In the process, I've cursed up a storm at all the bonehead,
unthinking people that insist on posting questions and holding
discussions on a binaries group, also at the people who post items
without a single bloody description. This sentence here is a quiet
call for a moderated comp.binaries.apple2 group. But anyway, on
to the relevent details.
For those of you interested in what's been posted, there
are two files on wuarchive.wustl.edu, in the
/archive/usenet/comp.binaries.apple2 directory called
'recent-files-{short,long}.txt' that hold a report of what's been
added. The short form is a one article per line format,
while the long form adds the description (if any) of the file.
** Please note **
The format of these files was created for my convenience and use for
archiving the postings. The line length of these files is over
200 chars. There's a bunch of information there, and I hate multi-
line reports when postscript printers are available. It's one
hell of a perl script that produces this output. I almost went
the final step and added a nulib check to the code, but I was
getting tired of staring at a growing mound of postings dating
back to july.
** Enjoy **
wuarchive.wustl.edu is now fairly up-to-date. The ls-lR file is an
accurate picture of what is there.
Oh, how many files were posted in roughly 3 months? Well, the
first article dated 13/jul/90 is 890, and the last article dates
30/nov/90 is 1337. Roughly 400 files, after the other guano was
filtered out.
