Dear Friends I do not know anything about the Apple II family of computers. But I intend to write a word processor for people with disabilities on these machines, particularly on IIE. Here are my questions 1 - What Hardware setup I need. 2 - What OS (ProDOS?) I should use 3 - What languages are available (compilers etc) 4 - How much memory do I need 5 - Is Apple IIE available in 80 column display etc 6 - What kind of Input Devices (Mouse, LightPen etc) are available I would be grateful to everyone who can help me in providing insight so I can work on to help people with disabilities. Thanks in advance Girish Andalkar

You may want to consider Micol Advanced BASIC for the IIe as your compiler. MAB IIe is the only high-level structured compiler still being supported on the 8 bit Apple II's. For lots of information about it, send me mail. Please send all replies to: INet: zoo.toronto.edu!generic!pnet91!ronl or : ronl@pnet91.cts.com
