[comp.sys.apple2] 3200-colour slide show

taob@pnet91.cts.com (Brian Tao) (12/01/90)

What sort of slide show programs are available which have the capability
to cycle through a folder of 3200-colour pics? I would prefer to have
something as a launchable GS/OS application that will let me quit back to the
Finder (like Jonah's View.3200 as a slide show). It should also support both
the French "3201" standard (packed graphics) and John Brook's "3200" standard
(fixed-length file, 76 blocks long). Does such a file exist, and if so, can
someone post it to comp.binaries? Thanks in advance.

Well, there's a neat little NDA that will do this. It will show 3200, 3201,
$C0, $C1, Print Shop, and probably other formats as well. It will also
allow a continuous slide show. The NDA is called ShowPic 5.3, and should be
available from your local archive site. It also shows GIFs, albeit poorly.

The only "archive" site I have access to from here is comp.bin.apple2.
The only references I've seen to ShowPic 5.x is the source code for it. I
don't have a compiler, so I can't use it. If someone has it in a Shrunk NDA
format, could they Binscii it and mail it to me (or post it to cba2)?

    Thanks in advance!

Kreme was talking about a neat little NDA... ShowPic 5.3 I think.

Todd Whitesel, is that around over your way (tybalt)?

I've seen the F.U.C.K. Picture Show, but I'm not sure if that's Finder
friendly.

Hmmm, I'll have to check these guys out....

Question, are you a member of this group? And you live in Toronto?
Hell, that's loyalty for ya.

Nope, it's one of those FTA-type programs where the code is written right
on the disk instead of in an executable file. Geez, what's with these guys
with their aversion to launchable GS/OS applications that quit back to the
Finder? Rebels, all of them...

Huh? How did you manage to connect me with the BAAUG? I certainly didn't
post their address in any of my messages... and, yes, I do live in Toronto
(actually, I live in Ottawa, but I'm here for university).

I believe ShowPic5 V5.4 has this capability. You can find it in
comp.binaries.apple2.
