[comp.sys.apple2] GS upgrade

Does anyone know if Apple still offers a GS upgrade for //e owners? I live in
The Bronx, New York City, and can't find any Apple dealers anywhere who are
willing to do the upgrade. Last I heard, it cost $499.00, and had no expiration
date. Would it be possible for me to send it directly to Apple and have the new
motherboard put in? Can anyone tell me the name of a dealer in New York that
will do it?

That aside, does anyone know if an Apple // version of Ultima VI is coming
out?

The GS upgrade still exists. If your dealer doesn't have it (likely)
they can order it. It's on the parts list in the Apple II section.

Speaking of upgrades without expiration dates... I've still got this problem
of "Fatal System Error $0911". I thought I heard (once upon a year) that I
just had to show my Apple dealer the computer when the error occurred, and
that I'd get some kind of free upgrade. Anything still true about that?
