[comp.sys.apple2] LISP Wanted

Does any LISP system (commercial, shareware, whatever) exist for
Apple II ProDOS, DOS 3.3, or CP/M?

Hmmmmmmm...... There used to be something from Apple on one of their
old contributed software volumes diskettes called microlisp. It was a tiny
LISP interpreter written in Applesoft basic. It worked but was _slow_ and
had a _very_ limited amount of memory. XLISP is a much more powerful LISP
interpreter written in C. It used to run under CP/M but I don't know if newer
versions do. It has its own news group (comp.lang.lisp.x I think) where you
can probably find out more info. I see no reason it couldn't be compiled for
a //gs using ORCA C. Hope this was some help.

There does exist a LISP package for the Apple but I have never had the
chance to use it myself. The package is:

KeyLISP The language - Apple // version
		Gerard D Mickon, XPrime Corporation

It is available as a book (check your local bookstore for ordering) and
had an order form for the software. I think the book was under $30, but
the software was about $120 (one reason why I never picked it up). It
sounded like the auther made a few extensions to the language, but it was
still basically Common LISP.

If you find out more about this or other LISP packages, I would be
interested in hearing what you think about them. I think it's about time
my little Apple picked up another language (Merry Christmas!!).

Hope this helps,
  Dan Palermo
