OK, for those of you who haven't been able to decode the 5.0.4 disks from apple.com yet, here's what to do: FTP the .hqx files. grab mcvert.shar (in pub/apple2/util) and diskcopy.bsq from tybalt. use mcvert -D (you'll need a unix system) to de-hqx the system disks. download in binary mode. use GSHK to unpack the downloads. rename each output to something ending in .dimg install diskcopy's icon and diskcopy itself in the system folder. double click on the .dimg file and follow the prompts. have a blank disk handy! There are still some debug statements in there, and the checksum value printed at the end is incorrect (I'm still not sure why, because the disk is fine). But it works! Merry Christmas, Apple.
