Rom 01 system, with a 1.5 meg AE ram card. No user inits, DAs, etc. Default drivers plus 1 - the Unidisk 3.5 driver from Apple. System 5.0.4 system disk. Apple 3.5 , Unidisk 3.5 drive (and 2 5.25" with the driver inactivated. A joystick, mouse, stereo card . A 2400 baud modem on the modem port and a IW II printer on the printer port. 800 k ram disk configured. Got the hardware software picture? Pec 1) I am copying the system disk from a floppy in the Unidisk 3.5 to a floppy in the Apple 3.5 . Twice during the disk to disk copy the system stops and polls all of the drives before reading the next 'chunk' of data. Pec 2) In a disk to Ram disk copy (and ram disk to disk and perhaps one other variation - I have played a bit with this) I notice that the red 'in progress' thermometer didnt update until the action was almost complete. About 70 percent or so thru the meter goes from all white to almost all red. -- Larry W.
