[comp.sys.apple2] New Modem Driver

jb10320@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu (Desdinova) (12/27/90)

Evidently, the new 5.0.4 system contains a modem driver which has been
reworked to allow 19.2kb operation (it goes straight to the SCC chip).

But the bloody GS/OS Driver Reference is not available at my bookstore
yet. Could someone who has this manual please let me know? I'm
desperate for information on how to use this- it would make my Modem
Manager obsolete (if it's powerful enough, that is).

Thanx in advance..

Well, as we start this new newsgroup, hopefully it is a sign of bigger things
to come. At the start of Spring semester, we'll apply for SORF funding for the UIUC Apple II club and see if we can get some bucks. I propose weekly meetings, Thursday nights at O'Malley's.

There has been an Apple II users group meeting on campus since 1979! I haven't
attended a meeting or paid dues for more than a year, but last I heard they
were still meeting every 3rd Monday night at 7:30 in EE (now Everitt Lab)
on the 2nd floor in the corner room closest to Wright and Green.
