I've been a happy and satisfied user of DeluxePaint II ever since it came out (once I put in the patch to let it be run off of a hard disk without a key disk). Except for an occassional glitch, this version ran fine up through GS OS 5.0.2, but both the patched version and the original fail to run under 5.0.4. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

I would suggest running your copy of DeluxePaint through COMPACT and EXPRESS, two APW utilties that will make your life wonderful. After I did that, DeluxePaint load time went from 50 seconds to 8 seconds (off of floppy!). It also worked- i.e., it had crashed under 5.0.3 when I ran it, but after I COMPACT/EXPRESSED it, it worked great. -- Jawaid Bazyar | Being is Mathematics Senior/Computer Engineering | Love is Chemistry jb10320@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu | Sex is Physics Apple II Forever! | Babies are engineering

This sounds GREAT! Did these utilities come with the original version of ORCA/M? I have that version, (1.1b I think) but I can't find those files and I can't find anything about them in the back of the manual, but I do remember something about that. >-- >Jawaid Bazyar | Being is Mathematics >Senior/Computer Engineering | Love is Chemistry >jb10320@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu | Sex is Physics > Apple II Forever! | Babies are engineering ---------------------------------------- Michael J. I can't get Paintworks Gold (1.5) to work with System 5.0.4 at all - it always crashes at the title screen. I've tried purging memory but that doesn't help (purge w/ the program that comes w/ SHRConvert). I don't have the APW interfaces so I can't do it that way. Any suggestions?
