The LC does not need anything real special to use a HD with Mac and IIe software on it; the main program that you have to run with the emulation card <which I don't think is released yet> sets up an enviroment that alows you to partition drives in both os systems. If you have read anything on the LC you would notice that the system is designed to recognise prodos with the software and card; actually this is in the liturature <sp> from dealers. The emulation card comes with a cable that somehow supports the joystick and 5 .25, I think it has to conecters but I forget at this moment. Anyway, the drive conecter screws into a nock out port hole in the back of the LC and the connecter is the standard 5.25 drive connect that the IIC has for externals. The emultion card is in fact a IIe/c on a card./ The speed is a dispointment and some of the restrictions like only 128K of ram; Apple might put in some rutines that would let you access some or all of the LC main memory but I don't think they will. I personally think that Apple mighht be droping the current emulation of the other IIs and making it the true 16 bit that it should be.
