[comp.sys.apple2] macs, hard drives, old pirated games, and thou

Okay. I've heard the Mac LC can do apple IIe emulation. Well, I've
got about a billion of old disks of stuff that I... uh... have. Does
anyone one know about the emulation system, and whether...

(1)	you can put apple IIe files right next to your mac files on
the hard disk? And if not...

(2)	What type of 5 1/4th disk drive hook up is there?

(3)	And finally, are there any hard drives that store apple IIe
stuff that are compatible somehow with the Mac LC?

Thanks in advance.

Well, I read the December 1990 issue of MacWorld, and, from what I
remember, here are some answers to your questions:

1. I believe that a separate partition is required on your hard drive for Apple
   // stuff.

2. I don't know how the 5.25" drive is hooked up, but I ASSUME that there's a
plug on the emulator board which accepts a regular connector (a picture
shows the LC running some program, and a Apple 5.25 Drive is hooked into the
   back of the computer).

3. Since the LC can only be purchased with one 3.5" drive and a 40 meg hard
drive, like I said in #1, I think that you only need a separate partition
   for the Apple // files.

Don't take any of this for fact--but I think it's true...
