I'm looking for recommendations for a good program line editor for Applesoft BASIC. It must be able to run on a 64K Apple ][+ with a Videx Videoterm 80 column card. I've already investigated the following: G.P.L.E.: Originally published by Synergistic Software then by Beagle Bros, maybe by A.P.P.L.E. before them. I know this will work but Beagle tells me that they no longer publish it and it is not available as one of their 'oldies' programs on the bulletin board. I have an older DOS 3.3 version of this but need the ProDOS version. Does anyone know who, if anyone, currently publishes it or where it might be available? Program Writer: Beagle Bros' replacement for G.P.L.E. This is a full screen (!) editor for applesoft programs. Beagle's tech support department tells me it wont run on any ][+. Is this true or are they just looking at their own ad copy? Edit Pro: A nice looking editor from Living Legends Software similar to G.P.L.E. in most respects. All the demo versions of this I've seen are buggy to the extent that they will truncate or garble lines in longer programs. Not willing to get burned by getting the complete package. Thanks in advance for any info you can give. Email or post replies here (I don't mind either way). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jeffrey T.
