Well, the UPS dude FINALLY got here after about a week, and brought me my "new" AST VisionPlus card from Advanced Computer Products for only $99 (Note this is the original V+ and not the Enhanced V+. ACP can be reached at 1-800-fone-acp. I dealt with "Lark") It works great and all, but the software does not save in anything but uncompressed screen format (which AWGS chokes on) so I have to load up paintworks or DTPainter and convert it to ApplePrefered or Paintworks or compressed screen etc... and then re-load it. Problem is - somewhere betw digitizing and loading up paintworks or DTPainter, the grey pallate is lost and applying a grey pallate looks like *dukker* (Or shit for those of you who don't mind :-). Anyways, this is my problem. Does someone have a calculated pallate that can be applied? I want to use these images for AWGS Page Layout, and they comeout like garbage. The color mode is horrible for those of you planning to buy. Only the B&W mode is really useful. My other question is has anyone rewritten the software for this card? I know about Allison and the hardware upgrade, but I don't have another $100 to throw at it yet, and I need it in the meantime. Anyone who has one of these babies, please write me and tell me how or what you have been successful in using it for! Thanks!
