Below is a release on fixes for the Floating Point engine inits and appleworks fixes. Innovative Systems P.O.Box 444 Severn, MD 21144-0444 301-987-8688/301-768-4599 Subject: Version 2.4 of the FPE Tool Files This release contains a new version of the FPE.SYSTEM installation program. Please replace the original FPE.SYSTEM file on the FPETOOLS installation disk with the new one. The new FPE.SYSTEM now has the capability to modify Classic AppleWorks for use with the FPE even if the AppleWorks file has Timeout Utilities or other modifications. As long as the AppleWorks program file is named APLWORKS.SYSTEM or APLWORKS.SYS, FPE.SYSTEM will modify it correctly. The new version of the FPE.INIT files solves problems with the FOR...NEXT loops in GSBasic as well as reporting correct values for the roots of negative numbers. Copy the FPE.INIT files over the existing files in the /FPE.IIGS/FPETOOL.INITS directory on the installation disk. Additionally, there is a new version of one of the AppleWorks modification files. Copy all the copies of SEG.EL over the existing ones in the /APPLEWORKS.FPE8 directory on the FPETOOLS installation disk. This new version of SEG.EL fixes problems with raising negative numbers to a power. For additional technical support, please call one of the numbers given on this Read.Me file.
