If there is any one out there that would like to find a new use for that old Apple II, II+, or IIe computer, here is some usefule information that I have come across. Each time Apple computer introduces a new line of computers, I seem to see more and more cob-webs forming on my old IIe. The problem I have, is that I hate to try and sell it because the resale value is almost nothing. BUT.... here's where it gets good... I have come across a place that puts out a book that teaches you how to interface the Apple to anything you want. This booklet takes you step by step through the construction of the interface circuit which is built from less than $20.00 of Radio Shack parts. You don't have to be a programming wiz either, a disk with all of the programs you need is included (and is unprotected so you can modify the programs if you like). With this manual, I was able to bulid a greenhouse controller that would monitor light, temperature, and soil moisture while controlling heaters, exhaust fans, and water pumps. ------------------------------------------------------------------- If anyone would like to get more information on the book that I used just send me a SASE and I'll send all the info to you. Mail to: Stephen Cameron, 100 E. Norwich - Apt3, Columbus OH, 43202 Email : scameron@hpuxa.ircc.ohio-state.edu (Internet) I think the company will also send you literature if you write to them. The address on the book I have is: Camcom Software, 305 W. Morenci St., Box 374, Lyons, Ohio 43533 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Hope this helps some of you..
