[comp.sys.apple2] FTP - What am I doing wrong?

THINGVOL@LAX.WISC.EDU (01/24/91)

Right now, I am on Bitnet and to ftp I have to send mail to Bitftp@pucc.
All the files that I ftp seem to be scrambled. They aren't in shrinkit or
binscii format or any format that I can recognize. Is there a certain way
for people on Bitnet to send ftp commands?

Dan, BITFTP likes to send all image type files as UUENCODED files. There are
a few utilities out there that will decode them. I'm not sure where you find
them though...
