[comp.sys.apple2] Text to Binary

Could someone please e-mail me step-by-step procedures for converting
a downloaded binary file in ASCII format (i.e. downloaded from
Apple.Binaries) to binary format once I have downloaded the file.
I have no utilities yet.  So, if I need utilities, please tell me
which utility/ies I will need.  And, if you could also tell me where
I might be able to Anonymously FTP it from it the required ut's are
FTPable downloadable.

(I know it is a big task to ask for, but once I know, I will no longer
have to bother anyone for this situation.)
